Federica Nardoni Spinetta founded the event in April 2009. The aim of the event is to promote local fashion designers and the Made in Monaco Creativity in the international spotlight. It also aims to project the Principality as a key player in fashion worldwide.

This year, Monte-Carlo fashion week had a green makeover. The Monaco Government Tourist Office (MGTO) decided that the slogan would be “Green is the new glam”, with the aim of making Monaco an environmentally conscious destination and at the same time glamorous.

Because of the High Patronage of H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco, the fashion event gains fame year after year. Consequently, International buyers and fashion insiders anticipate this fashion fair, thanks to the participation of leaders in the fashion field and celebrities frequenting the Principality.

The Executive Organizing Committee of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week renews its support of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. The Foundation’s main objective is to save lives by putting an end to drowning. It also aims to increase public awareness about the dangers of water. At the same time, it teaches children to swim and help them learn preventive life-saving measures.
