The most famous formula one car race in the world happens in Monaco. This is by-far the biggest and most exclusive racing event that takes place in the region. This unique car race is especially spectacular, as it is set on the streets of Monte-Carlo, circling around Port Hercule.

Monte Carlo E-Prix Formula E (April or May)
Il Monte Carlo ePrix è la versione per auto elettriche del Gran Premio di F1. È la grande corsa automobilistica del campionato elettrico che si svolge per le strade di Monaco e circonda Port Hercule. Utilizza le stesse strade del Gran Premio di F1.
The E-Prix offers a more accessible and cost-effective way to experience racing in Monaco. While the Grand Prix is renowned for its prestige and attracts larger crowds, the E-Prix provides a similar atmosphere with fewer spectators, making it easier to secure tickets and enjoy the event without the intense crowds.
Unlike the Grand Prix, which can be an overwhelming experience for kids, we recommend bringing your kids to this race. Bonus: it’s easy on the ears (not deafeningly loud like the petrol cars), and the air is cleaner.

Gran Premio: versione storica (maggio)
See vintage sports cars as they race the familiar Monte Carlo course during the ‘Grand Prix Historique de Monaco’. The Historic Grand Prix of Monaco takes place two weeks before the F1 Grand Prix, on the same circuit. Be warned: these cars literally stink — the air quality is terrible.

E-Rally Monte Carlo (ottobre)
E-Rally Monte-Carlo is an authentic regularity road race reserved for 100% electric and 100% hydrogen-powered rally cars. It is now very appreciated by car manufacturers and race teams who are eager to show, in a real and tough environment, the technological and innovative potential of their electric vehicles.
The rally starts and ends each day in Monaco, but it stays exciting partially thanks to secret routes — the itinerary of each stage (the route they drive each day) is only revealed 1 hour before the start of each rally. Sometimes they drive into Italy, sometimes into the mountains, and sometimes along the French Riviera.

Rally automobilistico di Monte-Carlo (gennaio)
The Rallye Monte-Carlo is the world’s oldest car rally; first held in 1911, it was organized by Prince Albert I of Monaco, to promote Monte-Carlo as a tourist destination. The rally starts and ends in Monaco’s Casino Square, in front of the famous Monte Carlo Casino. After leaving Monaco, the race continues north-west through the mountains, then circles back to Monaco.
The rally has become famous for its treacherous roads, unpredictable weather, and demanding routes through the mountainous terrain of the French Riviera and Alps. It’s not only a test of the car’s durability but also the skill and endurance of the drivers.
The Monte Carlo Rally has a storied history and remains one of the most prestigious events in the rallying world, attracting competitors and spectators from around the globe.

Historic Rally (January – February)
Just three days after the finish of the Monte-Carlo Rally, the competitors in the Historic Monte-Carlo Rally race will take on an equally testing challenge. The historic version of the Rally is reserved for cars that took part in the Monte-Carlo Rally from 1911 to 1983.
The race takes a different path than the other Rally races. It starts in other countries and ends up in Monaco, with cars arriving in the late afternoon and then racing in the night, returning to Monaco’s Port Hercule throughout the very early morning hours of the last day.
Finally, in keeping with tradition, the Gala Night and Prize Ceremony will happen on the evening of the last day, in the prestigious Salle des Etoiles at Monte-Carlo Sporting Club.
